Ordo Iuris Institute is committed to upholding the unquestionable value of human life from conception to natural death. We demand an unambiguous affirmation of the constitutional principles ensuring the legal protection of life for every human being. Following the constitutional case-law, we emphasise that there can be no protection of human dignity, unless sufficient foundations have been created for the protection of life.
We are fully determined to halt the progressive erosion of the institutions of national and international law, which, in the intention of their creators, were meant to uphold the inviolability of human dignity and the right to life. We are monitoring the authorities, which, having forgotten the lessons of history, usurp for themselves the right to indicate which "life is not worthy of living", deprived of the absolute protection of the State.
We protect our country against the trends that consider abortion, artificial in vitro insemination or euthanasia, i.e. activities inherently connected with the annihilation of human life as "human rights".
Our lawyers defend pro-life activists courageously proclaiming the truth about the bloody and brutal nature of abortion techniques, support emerging civil movements for the protection of life, participate in the national legislative process and prepare numerous analyses, proposals and memoranda addressed to international organisations.
There are many myths about the legal protection of life in the public space. One of them is the claim that Poland, in comparison to most countries of the world, protects the life of unborn children very well. This was the topic of a press conference of the Ordo Iuris Institute.
Guatemala confirms its high rank in the sphere of protection of human life. Abortion has been banned there for many years (with a guarantee of saving the mother's life, if threatened) by the Criminal Code and the Constitution.

The UN monitoring bodies examine the Member States' compliance with the international human rights treaties and their implementation. In this context, the Ordo Iuris Institute has submitted three important reports to the United Nations concerning the protection of life and motherhood in Poland, indicating i.a. the inadmissibility of legislation that endangers the lives of unborn children with disabilities and discrimination against mothers dedicating their time to childcare.
The Ordo Iuris institute has submitted a special report to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in order to direct its attention to the issues surrounding the lives of disabled children before birth and the insufficient protection of their lives in the Polish legislation.
On 6 October this year, Ordo Iuris Institute, joined by 17 pro-life organizations from Canada and Poland, submitted to the UN Human Rights Committee its position on the draft General Comment to Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
