- The demographic crisis is one of the most serious problems today.
- The international scientific conference "Cultural Aspects of Family Policy," organized by the Ordo Iuris Institute and Collegium Intermarium, was devoted to ways to solve it.
- Participants in the event focused on how culture affects people's attitudes about their family life.
- The event was attended by representatives of scientific centers from Poland, the US, Great Britain and Hungary.
- They represented various fields of science - sociology, economics, cultural studies or law.
Bracy Bersnak from the USA, a professor at Christendom College, drew attention to the modern tendencies to build a culture of individualism. He stressed that the liberal state, on the one hand, seeks to be a guarantor of human freedom, while at the same time presenting the family as a threat to individual freedom.
- Work is important, but it is not the most important thing in life. Much more important is who will remember us when we die. Parents must teach their children to live in marriage and have children. They cannot take for granted that children will want to do this on their own," noted Bracy Bersnak.
The real causes of the demographic crisis were sought by attorney Rafal Dorosinski of the Ordo Iuris Board. He pointed out that the situation in this area is not improving, despite the improved economic status. He drew attention to media propaganda hostile to the family.
The event concluded with two panel discussions. They were attended by conference participants, who also answered questions from the audience. The conference was also combined with the inauguration of the academic year at the Collegium Intermarium University.
